talkSPORT is the UK’s biggest national commercial sports radio station. Owned by UTV Media (GB) who also own Sport magazine and 13 regional radio stations, it is the destination for sports fans everywhere, covering breaking news, transfer rumours, big name interviews and encouraging listeners to ring in and get their voices heard on all the important issues.
The station was officially launched as Talk Radio UK in February 1995, and was relaunched as talkSPORT in January 2000.
It is transmitted on 1089 and 1053am across the UK and digitally via DAB digital radio, Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat.
talkSPORT attracts over 3 million listeners and is official partner of the Barclays Premier League, broadcaster of UEFA EURO 2012, and was the exclusive UK radio rights holder for the 2011 Rugby World Cup – the first time the tournament had been broadcast solely by a commercial station.
talkSPORT's presenters include former sporting icons like Alan Brazil, Darren Gough and Stan Collymore, as well as broadcast legends including Richard Keys and Andy Gray, Mark Saggers and Adrian Durham.
Every weekday morning kicks off with the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast at 6am, co-hosted by Ronnie Irani. From 10am Richard Keys and Andy Gray provide debate about the major sports stories of the day, as well as talking to the biggest names from the sporting world. From 1pm, The Hawksbee and Jacobs Show takes a sideways look at sport before Adrian Durham and Darren Gough steer you home with Drive Time.
Kick Off broadcast incisive reaction to all the live football news and games before the last word on the day’s events on the Sportsbar from 10pm.
