Nemanja Vidic is back in training for Manchester United after being sidelined with a knee injury and his impending return could be the boost his team need to push on in the title race.

Vidic also missed much of last season, as Man City beat their rivals to top spot, but Alex Ferguson's side are currently leading the way this season, despite conceding an alarming number of goals.

Unfortunately for United, Vidic won't be fit to play in the Manchester derby this weekend. His return could still prove a thorn in the side of City, however, if he can help shore up the Red Devils' defence over the coming months.
