Opta's team of boffins are the statistical brains when it comes to the Premier League.

The Opta Index ranks players based on hundreds of different criteria, taking into account every action they perform on the pitch. Decisive actions like winning goals or assists have a bigger influence on the ranking than less important ones likes a shot off target or a pass back to the keeper, and it's on this basis that they've arrived at some interesting rankings of the Premier League's forwards. All is revealed by clicking the arrows on the images above.
