Following an incredible 2011/12 season, Newcastle are finding the current campaign much more difficult. Despite an encouraging start, Alan Pardew's side are slowly sliding down the the table and are now just four points off the relegation zone.

A combination of fixture congestion and injuries have been blamed, and with news that midfield playmaker Yohan Cabaye and defender Steven Taylor will be sidelined until February, the situation doesn't look like it will improve anytime soon.
