Roman's millions have made transfer windows at Stamford Bridge even tastier than Helen Flanagan smeared in full-fat double cream, and January 2013 is proving no different.

Chelsea pulled an early one over Arsenal and Liverpool by snatching Demba Ba on the cheap from Newcastle, leaving club executives with plenty of time to work on trickier negotiations.

Football managers at this complicated club come and go like Harry Styles' girlfriends, but January is a time of promise for the man in charge of Chelsea... unless you are Carlo Ancelotti, who was gifted with expensive dud, Fernando Torres.
