Brendan Rodgers spent the first few months of his Anfield reign passionately defending Luis Suarez amidst widespread accusations of diving from the media, fellow professionals, supporters and just about anyone who doesn't support Liverpool.

The rookie boss was understandably fuming this week when Suarez used a foreign TV interview to reveal that, in fact, he did dive against Stoke last season when Rodgers again leapt to his defence.
