Five summer signings Man City need to challenge Man United

Previous pictureNext picture Man City failed to sign Robin van Persie in the summer and followed that up by selling Mario Balotelli in January. Man City's disastrous defeat to Southampton at the weekend all but wrapped up the Premier League title for Man United as the Red Devils extended their title lead to 12 points. While there were two howlers from the usually reliable Joe Hart and Gareth Barry, City were played off of the park by Southampton, in a performance to add to the list of underwhelming displays delivered by Roberto Mancini's men this season.
