News that Andre Santos has moved to Gremio on loan until the end of the season will have pleased Arsenal fans, following a disastrous year and a half with the Gunners for the Brazilian.
Signed from Fenerbache for £6.2m in August 2011, the 29-year-old left back made just 13 Premier League starts and will be remembered best for swapping shirts with ex-Gooner Robin van Persie, as the teams walked off at half-time in Manchester.
To make matters worse, Santos has endured a torrid 45 minutes at Old Trafford and his poor form has continued ever since, forcing Arsene Wenger to dip into the January sales to sign Spanish defender, Nacho Monreal.
