Gareth Bale-mania is in full swing at the moment, following his latest superb display, scoring a brilliant brace to inspire Spurs to victory over Lyon in Europe. He has been deadly in the league this season too, scoring 13 for Spurs and creating one goal, with highlights including one in the victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, a hat-trick against Aston Villa and the winner against Liverpool. Quite simply, Bale has had a huge influence for Tottenham in the Premier League, so how would the table differ if his influence was removed? The bad news for QPR supporters is they would still be bottom, and indeed the bottom places in the table are generally unaffected. At the other end of the table Manchester United would still be top, too. Arsenal, on the other hand, would already have Champions League football in sight, while Everton would move up a place too. Unsurprisingly, the biggest losers are Spurs, who would slide from fourth place to a meagre ninth. A one man team? Not quite, but a one man Champions League team, come next season? Possibly.
