Robin Van Persie is the Premier League's top scorer so far this season, but is that a fair way to judge the division's best finisher? Some players get more game time than others, so who are the top scorers based on the average number of minutes they go between finding the back of the net?
We decided to find out, thanks to our friends at Opta. To ensure a fair result, we have only considered players who have scored a minimum of five Premier League goals (all figures correct as of 3 January 2013).
