This time last year Carlos Tevez was working on his golf game in Argentina, following his exile from Manchester after a row with Roberto Mancini. He returned late last season to help fire Man City to the title, but now the new, wise Tevez is keen that Mancini's other troublesome pupil, Mario Balotelli, doesn't repeat his mistakes and has been offering the hot-headed Italian someone to talk to.
"I have tried to help him, I have talked to him on and off the pitch," Tevez said. "I have been where he is now, so I know how it is and am always keen to help him through those moments. These kinds of things have happened at all the clubs I have been at."
Which clubs would those be, Carlos? The old four iron?
If Man City hang on to Mario Balotelli, will they reap the rewards like they did with Carlos Tevez or should they just flog him?
