QPR midfielder Shaun Derry told Sports Bar he is sure the Loftus Road side will sign a defender to replace Ryan Nelsen before the transfer window closes.

Derry was speaking after Nelsen’s final game for the Super Hoops in the 0-0 draw against Manchester City on Tuesday evening.

The veteran midfielder admitted that the players are now positive about the prospect of them being a Premier League team next season. Derry also stated that a few weeks ago there were doubts within the camp as to whether they could get themselves out of relegation troubles.
