Former Manchester United defender Arthur Albiston told Sports Bar that he believes striker Wayne Rooney will not leave the Old Trafford club.

Rooney was left on the bench in the Champions League loss against Real Madrid on Tuesday and came on in the second half.

Reports suggested this week that the England international could be set to move on but manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said the rumours are not true.

Albiston is confident United can bounce back from their Champions League exit and feels Sunday’s FA Cup tie is the perfect match for them to have next.
