John Still sees his new job as Luton Town manager as a long-term project to get the club into the Championship.

Still has left League Two Dagenham and Redbridge to take over as Hatters boss.

He said: “I feel as if I’m starting again but that is the appeal. I told them if you are looking for a quick fix, then you need someone else.

“I felt this was the right club at the right time. I’ve left Dagenham and Redbridge in a fantastic state. We’ve had two promotion’s, and we’ve sold players for millions of pounds. The club is stable and I think it’s time for me to look for that other challenge.”
