Manchester Evening News sports editor Peter Spencer claims midfield pair Wesley Sneijder and Frank Lampard are more likely to join Manchester United than Manchester City.

There had been suggestions that the Chelsea star could be set for a shock switch to the Blues, to help solve the gap left by Nigel de Jong's departure for AC Milan.

But Spencer believes Lampard and Sneijder, who's also been linked to Roberto Mancini's men, will be on their way to the Reds Devils, should they decide to move to the north west.
