Daily Mirror journalist John Cross was on Extra Time to discuss the weekend’s FA Cup action and he had a lot to say about Arsenal’s shock 1-0 loss to Blackburn Rovers.
Cross said: “I feel they are always one defeat away from a crisis. The FA Cup was their best and most realistic chance of silverware.
“It struck me that he has rested big guns for a trophy that he can win, in preparation for a trophy that I don’t think they can win. It’s a bizarre logic that was punished by a heroic Blackburn Rovers victory”
Arsenal face German league leaders Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday, as they look to salvage something from their so-far disappointing season.
He continued: “The fans that did show up voiced their opinions strongly. The boos were overwhelming and it is uncomfortable times. It could get really ugly if they lose badly to Bayern
“Bayern are the best team in Europe at the moment and they are going to take some stopping. It will take a minor miracle in my view.”
