Rafael Benitez’s appointment as Chelsea manager has provoked a lot of debate. His arrival comes hot on the heels of the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo just a few months after winning the Champions League.

Many fans are skeptical about the appointment of Benitez but Tony Evans, football editor of The Times, believes the Spaniard can be successful at Stamford Bridge.

Evans told Hawksbee & Jacobs on talkSPORT: “He has had two years off and is fresh and has a point to prove.”
