Henry Winter, chief football writer at the Daily Telegraph, assesses why Premier League clubs have found it difficult in Europe in recent reasons.

Both Manchester City and Chelsea were knocked out at the group stage of the Champions League this year, while Arsenal and Manchester United have also struggled at times despite progressing to the knockout stages.

But Winter believes English clubs will soon regain their grip on the competition, telling H & J: "English clubs, because of the financial wealth, will come again."
