Former Nottingham Forest favourite Steve Hodge admits his old club have made a bold decision by sacking manager Sean O'Driscoll and replacing him with Alex McLeish.

O'Driscoll was axed following a 4-2 win over Leeds, despite his side lying just a point outside the play-off places, a move that has not been well received by the City Ground faithful.

Hodge believes it's a big gamble by the club's owners, but he confesses it looks a good move on paper to bring in an experienced manager like McLeish who has a record of success at Championship level.
