Gareth A. Davies described Adrien Broner as incredible after watching his demolition of Gavin Rees in Atlantic City.

The Daily Telegraph boxing correspondent watched the American continue his unbeaten run by winning in the fifth round, after Rees’ corner threw in the towel.

He said: “It was a good fight, very one-sided mainly because Broner is very flash, brash. He’s just incredible. He did take a few shots from Rees but once he laid into Rees it was over.”

The comparisons between the 23-year-old and his idol Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather are also increasing following the 26^th win of his career.

Davies continued: “Gavin was a foil to show quite how good Broner is. Like Mayweather he will polarise everyone. Some will love him and some will absolutely hate him.

“But he’s so skilled as an athlete, I can’t see anyone in the lightweight division testing Broner.”
