Following David Beckham’s Paris Saint Germain debut, Phillip Auclair admits that he doesn’t see the midfielder starting for the club any time soon.

Beckham came on as a second-half substitute and was involved in Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ goal as they beat rivals Marseille 2-0.

Auclair said: “I doubt Becks will start in their next game. Carlo Ancelotti says Beckham is not quite fit enough. Towards the season, although maybe in a cup game it is more possible.”

Regarding the manager’s position, he added: “I don’t think it is inevitable that Ancelotti will leave. The situation of Leonardo as the sports director is not that great. So there may be a vacancy at the end of the season for the post of sports director.”
