Courtney: Ashley won't be pumping big money into Newcastle

talkSPORT's man in the north east, Graham Courtney, claims Newcastle won't be splashing the cash - despite Mike Ashley's £100million windfall.

The Magpies owner has sold 25million shares in Sports Direct and many on Tyneside thought Alan Pardew could be handed a massive transfer kitty this summer.

But Courtney claims financial prudence is the way forward for the St James' Park club, who have become known in recent years for their smart transfer dealings.
