Southampton boss Nigel Adkins looks back on the 1-1 draw between the Saints and Arsenal at St Mary's.

The south coast club are out of the relegation zone after the result against the Gunners.

But the result leaves the north London side fifth in the table, four points behind Chelsea in the race for a Champions League place, having played a game more.

The Saints took the lead when Gaston Ramirez’s low drive beat two defenders, and Wojciech Szczesny in goal, to open the scoring.

But just seven minutes later Arsenal hit back when Theo Walcott whipped in a dangerous ball which deflected off Guly do Prado to level the scores.
