Elliott: Newcastle too good to be sucked into relegation battle

Robbie Elliott says Newcastle are too good to be sucked into a relegation battle, after Saturday's 7-3 defeat at Arsenal left Alan Pardew's side just three points above the drop zone.

And Elliot believes the Magpies will soon start to move up the table, especially if they bring in a couple of new signings in January.

"There are a lot worse teams. It's not been the season we expected after last year. But with a couple of additions, we will move up the table," said Elliott.
