Groves: Walcott still has to prove himself as a proper centre forward

Perry Groves joined the Breakfast boys on Monday morning to reflect on Arsenal's 7-3 victory over Newcastle on Saturday and to discuss Theo Walcott's future, with the England international out of contract in the summer and free to speak to other clubs from next week.

Walcott hit a hat-trick against the Magpies after being deployed as the central striker but Groves says he still has to prove he is good enough to play in his preferred position on a permanent basis.

"The test of him being a bona fide centre forward will come in January when Arsenal play Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool," said Groves.
