Shaun Derry joined the Breakfast boys after his side's 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Rs remain bottom of the Premier League, five points adrift of safety, but Derry believes the shock victory can spark a change in fortunes for the club.
"That can give us a real platform now," he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
"We don't want to get carried away because it is only one win but it can really push us on."
