Ever wondered what horsemeat tastes like? Well on Thursday morning Alan Brazil took part in a taste test live on air.

The former Ipswich striker was presented with a beef lasagne and a horsemeat lasagne and tried both, without knowing which was which.

Based on looks Alan said that lasagne B looked nicer and after eating both Alan correctly guessed that lasagne B was the one that contained horsemeat, which was homemade by a mum of one of the talkSPORT production team.

He said: “I’m going to say B looks the nicest and I reckon that’s the horse. That looks better, darker. At the end of the day if you were in a foreign country and you had that it’s ok, it’s just a bit chewy that’s all.”

The horsemeat was sourced from a reputable supplier which specialises in exotic meats.
