Crerand: Paul Scholes is the best Manchester United midfielder I've ever seen
Former Red Devil, Paddy Crerand, tells Al and Ronnie why the Ginger Prince is so loved by the Old Trafford faithful.
He told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: "I’ve never seen a better midfield player at Old Trafford than him.
"I put him up there with the greatest midfield players that you’ve ever seen play.
"I think it showed you a lot after the European Cup final, when United were totally outplayed, the two great midfield players for Barcelona were desperate to get Scholes' jersey after the match. That shows you how highly regarded he is in world football.
"You never read about him, you never hear about him, you never see him, you don’t know he exists until he’s on the pitch."
