Manchester City (5/1 to win the Premier League) striker Carlos Tevez has revealed that he would welcome Liverpool striker Fernando Torres at the club.
City have been linked with the Spanish World Cup winner throughout the summer and manager Roberto Mancini has stated that he is keen to bring the player to the club.
Torres had a disappointing tournament in South Africa this summer after he failed to hit the back of the net in the competition, while Tevez had a strong World Cup with Argentina and will be looking to carry that form into the Premier League campaign.
The former Manchester United (7/1 to win the Champions League) striker believes that Torres would be an excellent addition to the Eastlands club.
He said: “Torres would definitely make us better. He’s one of the top strikers in the world and I would love to have him as a team-mate.
“Last year we ended up contesting the Champions League places. I have no doubt that this year we will achieve that aim and fight for the title.
“The club will pick up reinforcements and this will make us stronger,” he added.
