• Exclusive - Hearn: 'Harrison will KO Haye'

Barry Hearn has told talkSPORT he expects Audley Harrison to knock out David Haye to claim the WBA world heavyweight title.

The two will clash in the 'Battle of Britain' in Manchester on November 13 and the bookies have installed the champion as the overwhelming favourite to emerge victorious.

But Hearn, who has managed around 40 world champions, sees things differently.

He told Drive Time: "Harrison is my favourite to knock out David Haye. It’s the bet of the century. I’ve seen the odds and the bookies have gone crazy.

"Let’s think what we’ve got here. Haye is a great champion but he's a blown up cruiserweight. He's had a couple of fights against a circus freak called Valuev and an old retiree called John Ruiz.

"He’s a good fighter but he’s not big enough. He’s not big enough if Audley catches him with that left hand that knocked Michael Sprott out.

"I think Audley’s got a real good shout. He can redeem himself with the British public after years and years of not delivering. He’s got nowhere else to go so you can expect the fight of the century.

"They don’t like each other, and that’s not pretend. There is going to be fireworks. Someone’s going and I think it’s an even money bet. I’m going for Harrison by knockout.

"Are we going to see a boring fight? No. We’re going to see an explosion. One of those is going in the first four or five rounds.

"Is it the end of Harrison? It is if he loses. Is Haye a genuine heavyweight world champion? He is if he keeps winning. This is huge."

I agree that the odds of Harrison on paper of 11/2 or 6/1 are good but I think Haye will win. Realistic odds would be 1/3 Haye and 5/2 Harrison. The expression sprat to catch a mackarel springs to mind Mr Hearn.

Haye is not a blown up cruiserweight and Harrison is not a puncher - how many times has Harrison used this awesome left hook ? Once, in the dying minutes of a fight where his opponent had done everything to win and was exhuasted. Spinks and hollyfeild were cruiserweights, Ali light heavy, Tyson fought at 15stone 10lbs, Harrisons fights are guarenteed stinkers, Hayes are guarenteed entertainment, Hearn doesn't need to talk bull to sell the fight as Haye will sell it for him. Haye within 3 rounds in a one sided master class then goodbye to the wart on the backside of British boxing which is audley Harrison.
