Vitali Klitschko’s manager, Bernd Boente, has told talkSPORT that he believes David Haye will come out of retirement to face his client – if the money is right.

David Haye has officially announced his retirement from boxing and is now planning to go into acting following a successful career in the ring.

But Boente believes The Hayemaker can be tempted to fight again but only if the right deal can be agreed for both parties.

He told Drive Time: “I think Haye will only come back if the opponent is Vitali or Wladimir. Wladimir has already said, and I agree, that it makes no sense because everything is clear after the first fight, there are no open questions.

“I think there is a good chance we will see Vitali against David Haye but also, as I said before, we will not discuss this in public. Adam Booth and I will have a chat and then we will see if it makes sense or not.

“I think it’s only a question of business. I personally think David Haye is not afraid of fighting Vitali. I think it’s a case of the business and if it’s right for both sides and we find a compromise then I think the fight is on.

“Haye has to realise that we represent the champion, it is not a unification fight, he is the challenger. If he is interested in it, we can do it. If he thinks the retirement is fine then good luck to him and good luck for his career as an actor.

“If the numbers are right it will come to happen but one thing is for sure, David Haye won’t get anything close to 50% [of the purse] he would not even get 30% right away.

“If Haye is happy with a regular, very good number or percentage then we can definitely discuss everything.”
