Danish fighter Mikkel Kessler has told talkSPORT he is ready for a ‘big war’ against Carl Froch in their highly anticipated rematch at the O2 Arena.
Kessler inflicted the Englishman’s first career defeat when they originally met in Denmark three years ago, and they’ll meet again on the Cobra’s home turf at the end of March when they’ll go head-to-head for the WBA and IBF super-middleweight titles.
But Kessler insisted he is ready to repeat his performance which sparked an unbeatable streak that stretched back to their last fight in 2010.
“I’m ready for all 12 rounds, I’m ready for a big war with Carl,” Kessler told Hawksbee and Jacobs.
“I know he’s going to come launching out of his corner.
“I’m training to go the distance, but of course I want to knock out Carl before time.
“I fought for my life in our last fight, and so did Carl. It was a very close fight.
“I’m not thinking beyond this fight, I’m looking only at the fight with Carl and that’s what I’m training for.”
