Chisora claims boxing is the most corrupt sport in the world

Dereck Chisora has sensationally dubbed boxing as the most corrupt sport in the world.

The London heavyweight will challenge Vitali Klitschko for the WBC belt in Munich on February 19, but he remains bitter about his controversial defeat to European champion Robert Helenius last December in Helsinki, a fight most observers thought he clearly won.

And just days after doubt was cast on the validity of Amir Khan's defeat to Lamont Peterson in Washington last month, Chisora has revealed his frustration with the sport.

We know boxing is dodgy. I’m in the most dodgy and corrupt sport in the world— Dereck Chisora

He told talkSPORT “We know boxing is dodgy. I’m in the most dodgy and corrupt sport in the world, so why should I worry about a decision not going my way? You just bite it and get on with it.

“In Munich next month I won’t be leaving it to the judges, I will deal with it myself and knock him out. Vitali does not have a good work rate, he likes to work at a slow pace.

“I know people think I’m the underdog and all the press are writing me off because of his experience, but I don’t care and what drives me on is that he’s the king and has one of the most beautiful prizes in sporting history.

“The Klitschkos have made it hard for us all. When no-one’s talking about the heavyweight division, that’s when you know it’s dead and I’m going to change the whole picture”
