Harrison set for ring return

Audley Harrison is to return to the ring for the first time since his disastrous world title bout with David Haye.

Harrison was hammered to defeat inside three rounds by Haye 15 months ago and, after appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, it was thought his boxing career was over.

But it has now been revealed he will face Baghdad-born Ali Adams in Brentwood, Essex on April 14.

The fight will be over ten rounds and Harrison said: I’ve never been more disappointed in myself as I felt that night [against Haye]. Anyone can lose, but I didn’t lose with dignity, so I was never going to retire on that performance.

"I’ve been sitting on the shelf for 15 months, so I’m grateful for this opportunity.

“With my right arm now healed, I’ll have too much for Ali Adams. I intend to show I still have a future in the game.”
