Exclusive – McGuigan: Chisora has skills to beat Klitschko

Barry McGuigan believes Britain’s Dereck Chisora can cause a huge upset by beating Vitali Klitschko in their WBC heavyweight championship fight.

Although the odds are heavily stacked against the Zimbabwean born fighter, McGuigan feels that Dr Ironfist's age could play a factor.

Former world featherweight champion McGuigan told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “I don’t believe it’s going to be that one sided. I think Chisora has a chance. Vitali is 40 years old and can be a bit robotic”.

The Ulsterman added: “He has improved since the Tyson Fury defeat and has already handled a taller opponent (in the form of Robert Helenius)”.

McGuigan did warn however that it would not be easy against the 40-year-old Ukrainian. He went on to say: “He’s got to win this fight with pace. He’s got to put pressure on Vitali, throw combinations and move his head, if he doesn’t do that he will get knocked out."
