British boxer Dereck Chisora has told talkSPORT that he slapped Vitali Klitschko for messing up his career.
The two fighters came head-to-head on Friday at the weigh-in for their fight on Staurday, February 18 and the Zimbabwe-born star struck his opponent.
And he told Kick Off that the slap he gave Klitschko was for changing around their plans to fight.
“Why [did I slap him]? Because they messed me up for the last 18 months of my career,” said Chisora.
“They called Frank Warren Promotions saying they want to fight me. We say, ‘yeah let’s fight, let’s get the deal done’, and then the next minute they don’t want to fight. I wasted my time waiting for them to give me another fight.
“I figured I owed those people who messed up my career like that. His brother [Wladimir] is going to get a slap and another fighter is going to get a slap, as well as David Haye. I owe them all slaps.”
