England win one-day series despite tie

England sealed their one-day series victory over India despite drawing with India on the Duckworth-Lewis method at Lord’s.

India set the hosts an impressive target of 281 with Suresh Raina (84) and MS Dhoni (78) top scoring for the visitors despite a stuttering start.

Ravi Bopara looked to be powering the hosts to a win, scoring 96 off 111 balls before falling to Munaf Patel claimed his scalp.

But rain began to fall and with England needing 11 off seven ball the Duckworth-Lewis method came into play and it calculated the game as a tie.

England now have an unassailable 2-0 leading going into the series finale in Wales.
