Cook and Finn lead England to win

England have beaten Pakistan by 130 runs in the first one-day international in Dubai.

All eyes were on Alastair Cook's men to see how they recovered after a 3-0 Test match drubbing.

But Alastair Cook and Steven Finn ensured there was no repeat, Cook hitting 137, while Ravi Bopara’s determined work notched a half-century.

Saeed Ajmal put in another fine performance against England, taking five wickets, but Pakistan weren’t given time to reply when they went in to bat as Finn (4-34) ripped straight through their top four in less than nine overs to end the contest.

England take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series, which continues on Wednesday.
