Webber clears the air with Red Bull

Mark Webber insists that the row that overshadowed his British Grand Prix win has now been cleared up.

The Red Bull driver was furious with his team after they gave team-mate Sebsatian Vettel the new front wing that was earmarked for his car, leaving him to race with the old version.

Despite that supposed disadvantage, however, Webber raced to victory at Silverstone and was then heard on his team radio after taking the chequered flag saying sarcastically: "Not bad for a number two driver."

Seb and I are not enemies. We're just two drivers pushing hard— Mark Webber

But after talks with team chiefs, Webber insists there is no bad blood between him and German Vettel.

He said: "We've debriefed and have cleared the air. The respect within the team extends to the drivers. Seb and I are not enemies. We're just two drivers pushing hard."

The outspoken Australian did admit, however, that his pre-race comments were ill-advised.

"Of course things get said in the heat of the moment which, with hindsight goggles on, probably shouldn't have been said," he added.
