Vettel victorious in Valencia

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel has stretched his lead at the front of the Drivers' World Championship to 77-points after victory at the European Grand Prix.

The German saw off the challenge of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and team-mate Mark Webber who finished third in the searing Spanish heat.

Lewis Hamilton struggled with high tyre wear at the end of the race but managed to fight off the advances of Felipe Massa's Ferrari to claim fourth. 

Jenson Button stayed sixth, the same place he qualified on Saturday and fellow Brit Paul di Resta came 14th for the Force India team
