Exclusive – Coleman: I won’t make radical changes with Wales

New Wales manager Chris Coleman has told talkSPORT that he isn’t going to make many changes to the footballing philosophies put in place by former boss Gary Speed.

Speed sadly passed away in November after guiding his nation up to 45th in the World Rankings, from 117th, making them the most improved national side last year.

And Coleman wants to carry on where his predecessor left off and won’t make sweeping changes as he targets World Cup 2014 qualification.

“I don’t want to change too much to be honest with you,” he told Sunday Exclusive. “I think what Gary [Speed] has put in place, the philosophy and the structures are perfect really, I agree with it all.

“We’re all different, there will be one or two little things that I’ll look to bring in but I don’t want to change the way we play, I don’t want to change the system or anything like that.

“The preparation is all working so why change that?”
