Tottenham and Everton are through to the FA Cup fifth round as they beat Watford and Fulham respectively in two close fought encounters.
There could have been the first shock of the round as Spurs fumbled their way into the next round after a poor display against their Championship opposition.
Watford had frustrated Harry Redknapp's men and would have been good value had Prince Buaben, Marvin Sordell or Sean Murray converted their first-half chances to score an opener.
But in the end the Lilywhites, almost inevitably, took the lead despite a poor showing as Rafael Van Der Vaart, given the freedom of Vicarage Road, fired a low shot from 25-yards out which flummoxed Scott Loach in the Hornets net.
Murray went close again for the Championship side, striking the woodwork with a curling effort before van der Vaart struck the bar as Tottenham attempted to up their game.
John Eustace also struck the woodwork before Sordell was denied by Kyle Walker from close range.
In the end though, despite being the better side, Watford could not find a way past Carlo Cudicini and Spurs now progress to the fifth round of the competition.
At Goodison Park there was an all Premier League tie as Everton took on Fulham.
Danny Murphy gave the Cottagers a 14th minute lead when he stroked the ball home from the spot after Johnny Heitinga handled in the area.
The Toffees were back on level terms less on the half-hour mark when giant Argentinian striker Denis Stracqualursi thumped a header, from a Landon Donovan cross, beyond David Stockdale.
And Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini completed the Everton comeback when he headed another Donovan cross into the back of the net 15 minutes from time as they won 2-1 on Merseyside.
