Roberto Di Matteo has admitted he is confident of fielding a strong team for the Champions League final, despite having to contend with a string of suspensions.
Chelsea will be without John Terry who was sent off in the draw against Barcelona, while Raul Meireles, Ramires and Branislav Ivanovic all collected bookings which ensure they will miss the final in Munich.
But Di Matteo played down fears that he will be forced to assemble a weak side, claiming they can put together a side to make the club proud.
“For the moment we will try to enjoy this night because it is quite historical for our club," Di Matteo said.
“We have some players suspended and we will see which players are going to be available for the final. I’m sure we’ll put a strong team together that will make Chelsea Football Club proud.”
