Arsenal star Jack Wilshere is targeting top spot in their Champions League group after qualifying for the knockout phase of the competition.
The Gunners beat Montpellier 2-0 at the Emirates, with the England youngster bagging the opener, to confirm their place in the next section of the tournament but they need to finish first to be seeded for the draw.
And Wilshere, who was disappointed with their performance in the opening stages of their match with the French champions, wants to see improvements to help them usurp current Group B leaders Schalke.
"We started off sloppy,” the midfielder told Sky Sports. “But we've still got one game left. We need to finish top.
"The first half was hard - we were sloppy, we gave ball away and weren't ourselves so needed to come and get an early goal.
"We have to step it up. Tonight wasn't good enough, especially in the first half.”
Asked who he’d like to face in the next round of the competition, he added: "We've got to play the best teams to win it so it doesn't matter who we get."
