Millwall are considering a loan swoop for Arsenal starlet Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.
The Lions are keen to bolster their attack after two transfer window bids for Swindon striker Charlie Austin were rejected.
And with the window now shut, manager Kenny Jackett is keen to exploit the loan market with Emmanuel-Thomas currently top of his list after another target, Bolton's Danny Ward, decided to move on loan to Coventry.
Jackett was present at Arsenal's Reserves' clash with Blackburn on Tuesday night in which Emmanuel-Thomas hit an 87th-minute winner for the Gunners in their 4-3 victory.
Millwall were keen to bring in Emmanuel-Thomas' former team-mate Jay Simpson over the summer, but the striker snubbed the Lions in favour of a move to Hull.
But as a tall, powerful forward who can also operate in midfield, Emmanuel-Thomas now seems to fit the bill for Jackett.
However, it is understood that Arsenal may wish to hang on to Emmanuel-Thomas until after October's Carling Cup Fourth Round, in which he is likely to feature.
