Jamie Carragher has told talkSPORT Javier Mascherano let himself down badly when he quit Liverpool.
The Argentine midfield ace left Anfield for Barcelona after refusing to play in the Premier League defeat at Manchester City, and Carragher admits his former team-mate handled things badly.
The Reds defender told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: "Mascherano was great for Liverpool for three or four years and it was a privilege to play with them.
"But he let himself down badly and that left a bad taste in the mouth.
"If he'd played in that match he would have got a great send-off and it all would have been fine.
"But he ruined that and I think he'll regret it."
