Former Manchester City star Darren Huckerby has told talkSPORT that Carlos Tevez has cost them Premier League title.
The Argentinian front man was absent for six months of the season after fleeing back to his homeland following an incident during a Champions League game away at Bayern Munich where he refused to warm up.
And this has lead Huckerby to place the blame on his head for what looks like being a trophyless season at the Etihad Stadium.
He said: “City fans must be thinking that if [Tevez had] been here for the last six months, ‘how many points would we be ahead of Man United?’
“The fact of the matter is, he had six months off and that has cost City [the title]. Whatever anybody says, Tevez has cost City this season.
“A fit, motivated Tevez would surely have seen Manchester City at least five, six or ten points ahead of everyone else because that’s how good he is.”
