Robin Van Persie leads a six-man shortlist for the PFA Player of the Year prize after enjoying a stellar season.
The Arsenal captain has bagged 34 goals this season and played a huge part in guiding the club towards a top four finish in the Premier League.
The Dutchman will face competition from Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, who has been in similarly lethal form, scoring 32 times in all competitions and looking odds on to add another league title to his trophy cabinet.
Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is also a notable nomination after being given nods for both the PFA Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year awards following an outstanding debut season in the Premier League.
The Young Player of the Year shortlist includes Spurs duo Gareth Bale and Kyle Walker, while English trio Alex Oxlade-chamberlain, Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck are also rewarded for their impressive displays for Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United respectively.
The winners of both awards will be announced at the PFA's annual awards dinner on Sunday, April 22.
