Swansea City defender Alan Tate has told talkSPORT that new manager Michael Laudrup is still the best player in training at 48-years-old.
The Danish boss is one of a select number of players who has played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona and won the La Liga title with both sides, as well as winning Serie A with Juventus.
And Tate reckons it’s impossible not to learn from the former midfielder who still has plenty of ability with the ball at his feet.
“When [Laudrup] joins in he’s still the best in training,” he told the Weekend Sports Breakfast. “So if you’re not going to take notice of how he is in training then I think you’re on the wrong road.”
The defender has also been impressed by the Dane's managerial attributes.
“He’s not your typical manager,” he added. “He’s more laid back. He’s not a shouter or a ranter. He gets his point across quietly and he’s got respect because of how he was as a player.”
