Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has rubbished suggestions he wants to leave Barcelona, insisting he wants to finish his career at the Nou Camp.
The 25-year-old, who moved to Barcelona from Arsenal in a £30m deal last summer, revealed earlier this week that he was frustrated by his bit-part role in Catalonia - he has yet to complete a full 90 minutes this season - but he believes now is the time to prove himself.
"This whole situation is exaggerated," he told Spanish station Catalunya Radio. "I'm happy, I wanted to be here for many years.
"Current I am very calm. I knew that moments like this would come. I warned my family and my friends that this was coming. Right now, with the pressure on, is where you prove things.
"I want to retire at the Camp Nou. Every effort I made - I did not come back here for a year or two but for a long football career here."
